Hi, I'm Michael
I am a 1B Mathematics student at the University of Waterloo with a strong interest in Data Science and Machine Learning. I plan to declare a major in Data Science or transfer into Computer Science by the end of this term. I am currently a member of a WAT.ai design team developing U-Net–based semantic segmentation models and training techniques to improve small-lesion detection in fundus imaging, and am co-authoring a research paper on our methodology and results. Outside of academics, I have four years of experience coaching tennis at Unionville Tennis Club and one winter at Premier Racquet Clubs Markham, and I compete on the University of Waterloo Varsity Cross-Country team.
